Part of the World Project. One country, one evolving collection of places, experiences, photographs, and memories.
My experience
Colorado is home, but my American travel stories go well beyond everyday life: mountains, national parks, historic towns, Alaska, interstate journeys, and road trips across the West.

Across the American Southwest: An Unforgettable Road Trip
Photographs already in the archive
These photographs appeared on my website before I began organizing the World Project country pages. I am reusing the original images and their existing location labels while I work through my larger photo collection.

Traveling beyond my home state
Colorado is where I grew up, but I don’t want this archive to turn everyday errands or ordinary life at home into travel achievements. It should focus on the places I made an effort to explore: mountain towns, historic sites, national parks and journeys to other states.
One memorable American Southwest road trip connected Great Sand Dunes, Pagosa Hot Springs and Mesa Verde with the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas and a return through Glenwood Springs. That one trip contains more variety than a simple country count could ever convey.
Alaska, California and Florida are also part of my American travel history. Their stories will be organized by state and meaningful destination rather than treated as additional countries in the worldwide tally.
Photographs and future chapters
I’m gradually working through my personal photo and video archive to add more of the experiences behind this destination. This is a living page, not a finished guide.
