Part of the World Project. One country, one evolving collection of places, experiences, photographs, and memories.
My experience
I lived in Montevideo and worked in international business development. Uruguay is a place where work, language, and daily life became part of my travel story.

These images and their location labels appeared in my earlier published travel writing. I’ll add more photographs and firsthand experiences as I develop this country chapter.

Montevideo, GeneXus and a South American chapter
I lived in Montevideo for an extended period and worked in international business development with GeneXus. Uruguay became a place where Spanish was a working language and a part of everyday life, not just something I used on holidays.
My original public life-story photographs also include Punta del Este. That gives me another place to develop beyond Montevideo as I organize the images and recollections from this period.
Living in Uruguay also made Argentina and other South American destinations easier to explore. I want each country to retain its own page, even when the journeys connect.
Photographs and future chapters
I’m gradually working through my personal photo and video archive to add more of the experiences behind this destination. This is a living page, not a finished guide.
