I traveled to Stockholm in April 2024. Sweden was another new perspective to add to a travel history that has taken me across very different regions, languages and cultures.
Getting to know Stockholm
I spent several days in and around Stockholm. The visit belongs to my growing collection of journeys through northern Europe, but I want it to stand as its own chapter rather than a generic summary of Scandinavia. Sweden and its neighbors share parts of a region without being interchangeable.
Places worth revisiting
My Stockholm travel material includes the Vasa Museum and Drottningholm Palace, among other sites around the city. As I return to the photographs, I’ll be able to build a more detailed account of the places I explored and the experiences I remember most clearly. For now, this is the beginning of that country story.
Why I keep returning to my photographs
The memories that survive from a journey are not always the ones that would appear in an ordinary travel guide. Sometimes they are small scenes or unexpected details. That is what I want this site to preserve: not just where I went, but what it was like to be there.
